Participation in DIMDEX Confirmed the Strategic Importance of the Qatari Market
The second business visit to Qatar within a period of just two months confirmed the growing importance of this market and resulted in specific business opportunities as well as new strategic contacts. The key highlight of the visit was participation in the international exhibition DIMDEX (Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition & Conference), which ranks among the most significant platforms for the defence and security industry in the Middle East.
DIMDEX has long served as a meeting point for government institutions, armed forces, and leading industry players from around the world. This year’s edition once again underscored Qatar’s growing ambitions in the areas of defence, security, and technological innovation, as well as its openness to international cooperation.
Participation in the exhibition also enabled a seamless follow up on business negotiations initiated during the Czech-Qatari Security Forum, which took place in November 2025 under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The continuity of in-person meetings has proven to be the key factor in building trust and fostering long-term cooperation with local partners.
Special thanks go to Ms. Simona Drahoňovská, Economic and Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Doha, whose active support and personal engagement significantly contributed to the successful conduct of key negotiations and to the strengthening of Czech-Qatari business relations.
